August 4th – Toronto SST Race on the CBS Sports Network

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 2, 2016) – CBS Sports Network will premiere round’s thirteen and fourteen of the 2016 SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks Presented by TRAXXAS World Championship from Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Thursday, August 4 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT).

The one-hour broadcast will feature the two thrilling races that took place at the Honda Indy Toronto shown in their complete entirety.

Make sure to tune in and see history be made, as 23 year old, Sara Price of Canyon Lake, Calif. becomes the first female to ever start a Stadium SUPER Trucks event.

The question will not just be how will Sara do in her first SST race, but will SST regular Matt Brabham of Gold Coast, Australia be able to dig into the World Championship point’s lead of TRAXXAS teammate Sheldon Creed?

Or will Australian racing standout Paul Morris, Off-Road Veteran Robby Gordon, Dirt Oval Superstar Dustin Scott, Veteran racer Bill Hynes and the rest of the SST regulars be able to hold off the highly talented SST invaders?

Infrequent SST competitors; Toby Price of Australia who shocked the world capturing the 2016 2-wheel Dakar Victory back in January will look to make his second SST start of 2016 and capture his first SST victory, while 2003 CART/ Champ Car Champion Paul Tracy will return to SST competition for the first time since 2014 and look to put together a great run in front of his hometown Toronto fans.

Making his first ever SST start, iconic Italian CART/Champ Car and NASCAR competitor Max Papis will strap in and try his hand at the world’s fastest growing form of motorsport.

SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks feature identically prepared trucks, which are made to resemble their scaled-down TRAXXAS radio-control-car counterparts. Like their TRAXXAS namesake, SST trucks are designed to take flight. However, unlike RC trucks, they produce 600 horsepower generating speeds upwards of 140 miles per hour hitting multiple strategically placed man-made aluminum ramps.

The next event in the season-long SST World Championship will see the excitement of the SPEED Energy Stadium SUPER Trucks Presented by TRAXXAS return to the dirt and sand of Southern California with the Sand Sports Super Show event September 16-17.
