Mexican Driver Lalo Laguna To Compete in Stadium SUPER Trucks

Charlotte, N.C. (April 3, 2013) – Mexican Off-Road young gun, Lalo Laguna will compete in the 2013 Inaugural Stadium SUPER Trucks season driving the No.17 Visit Mexico truck.

Stadium SUPER Truck Series is modeled after the late Mickey Thompson Off-Road Championship and will take off-road racing to 12 state of the art stadiums across the country and abroad offering the champion a year-end prize of $500,000. The first race for SST and Laguna will take place April 6 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

“I am very excited to be part of Stadium SUPER Trucks and to have the opportunity to represent Mexico and it’s entire racing heritage. I would like to thank Robby Gordon and all of the people who have helped putting this awesome series together. I can’t wait for all of the fans to come and experience what has been Robby’s dream for many years.” Stated Laguna.

A native of Mexicali Baja California, the 22-year old Laguna has made a name for himself in just a few short years of off-road racing with multiple SCORE and BITD wins. Laguna will look to continue his winning ways in one of Gordon’s specially engineered 600-horsepower Stadium SUPER Trucks.

SST President Robby Gordon commented on Laguna as an addition to the Stadium SUPER Trucks for 2013.

“To have such a young international talent to be a part of Stadium SUPER Trucks is just another piece of the puzzle complete. To have veteran off-road legends to young guns apart of the series makes for tremendous competition on and off the track.”
